Carolyn J. Kushner, M.D.

Carolyn J. Kushner, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist with an interest in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. After graduating cum laude from Duke University, she attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania where she received multiple awards in her research endeavors. Dr. Kushner spent a year conducting research in autoimmune skin conditions, most notably in the disease pemphigus. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented at numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Kushner completed her one-year medical internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by her dermatology residency at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York. At NYU she was in charge of cosmetic education for residents, where she trained with many of the top cosmetic dermatologists in New York City.

Dr. Kushner specializes in general dermatology for adults and children with particular interests in skin cancer screenings, acne, rosacea, scar treatment, hair loss, eczema/atopic dermatitis, as well as in cosmetic procedures including botox, dermal fillers, lasers and chemical peels.

Raised in Manhattan, Dr. Kushner now resides in Summit, NJ with her husband, children and beloved dog.
