The laser light penetrates into the skin and damages the hair follicle. It releases the hair in place, and then is unable to produce more hair afterwards. This results in permanent removal, which is the goal for many of our patients. Patients find that the laser treatments are mildly uncomfortable though well-tolerated without the use of topical anesthetics, though we can provide this for those who have a low pain level tolerance.
